As a Valentine’s Day special, Lisa Dobriskey and husband Ricky Soos take our Mr and Mrs challenge. So just how much does 2009 world 1500m silver medallist Lisa really know about her husband and coach Ricky?

We’ll start with an easy one, as it’s Valentine’s Day. What is your favourite colour?

Lisa: Pink.
Ricky said: This is pretty easy, it is pink.
CORRECT!

Ricky: Blue.
Lisa said: Blue.
CORRECT!

Good start. Favourite other sport?

Lisa: Gymnastics.
Ricky said: If she had the flexibility she’d love to do gymnastics, so I’ll say that.
CORRECT!

Ricky: Football.
Lisa said: Football.
CORRECT!

2-2 after two! Do you have any hidden talents?

Lisa: Playing the piano.
Ricky said: I’ll go for piano playing.
CORRECT!

Ricky: I play a bit of poker. That’s my main hobby other than football.
Lisa said: Playing poker.
CORRECT!

It’s still all square, and getting tense… Dream car?

Lisa: Volkswagen Beetle.
Ricky said: Lisa’s not that flashy, so I’ll say a Volkswagen Beetle.
CORRECT!

Ricky: I’ve always been a big fan of TVR.
Lisa said: TVR.
CORRECT!

4-4, 100% correct so far! Somebody call the IAAF telepathy testers. Do you have a favourite competition venue?

Lisa: Of all the places I’ve competed in the world, and this includes the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing, and the Olympic Stadiums of Berlin and London: I’m going to say Stretford in Manchester. I love racing there. The track has trees all the way around. I feel really at home there.
Ricky said: Strangely, despite all the big stadiums she has ran in: Stretford.
CORRECT!

Ricky: The Athens Olympic Stadium, because I ran there at the Olympics.
Lisa said: Watford. Ricky always liked racing there.
WRONG!

Ricky races into a 5-4 lead with two questions to go. Can Lisa reduce the deficit with… favourite food?

Lisa: Chocolate.
Ricky said: Chocolate.
CORRECT!

Ricky: Pizza.
Lisa said: He loves tea and biscuits, so I’ll say biscuits.
WRONG!

Lisa: For me, it has to be my hairband. I can live without my phone but not my hair band.
Ricky said: Her hair straighteners.
WRONG (close, though)!

Ricky: Maybe my laptop.
Lisa said: Hmmm, either his hat or his phone. He’s got a woolly hat because his hair is often quite messy, but I think he’ll say his phone.
WRONG!
