The flower-haired US 800m champion has a penchant for the stage, wants to have dinner with two Presidents and has a few questions for Michael Jackson…
If you could star in another event other than the 800m, what would it be?
I would chose the 400m or 400m hurdles. I feel like I’m a pretty speedy individual, so I’d like to try and open 400m if I could ever figure out the blocks. The 400m hurdles complements the 400m and I like the challenge and grace of the runners attacking the hurdles. Also, running the 400m would give me the chance to run the 4x400m.
What did you have for breakfast today?
I had oatmeal for breakfast and yoghurt with peanut butter and nuts.
What are your plans for today?
I’m going to shower up, rest and then go to physio.
If anyone could play you in a film, who would it be?
Zoe Saldana [Pirates of the Caribbean and Avatar actress] because I like her beauty and you know… Hello! I’ve also seen Zoe in a couple of action films and that is the kind of way I would want to be portrayed: athleticism and strength.
What is the one thing you have to take around the athletics circuit?
If you weren’t an athlete what would you be doing.
I’d probably be acting. I did theatre and performing arts at college. I love acting and film and would love to explore that at some point in my life.
What is the worst thing I’ve ever worn?
I don’t know. I love everything I wear. I’ve probably picked some pretty awful outfits but I do so with love.
How much more do you have in your pocket?
I’m wearing Spandex, so none.
Do you have a favourite holiday destination?
Name your three celebrity dinner party guests?
President Obama, Abraham Lincoln and Michael Jackson. Our current president is an awesome president and I’d like to pick his brain. Lincoln, because he was very commendable to stand up for something he saw as wrong. And Michael Jackson because he was a legend. I have questions for the guy.
